PE and Sport Premium

Sports Premium is a Government initative designed to improve physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.

'Schools are free to determine how best to use this funding to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sports provision, including increasing participation in PE and Sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.' OFSTED Inspecting Primary School PE and School Sport.

School Games Gold Mark Award 2024/25

We are delighted to announce that we, Dunstable Icknield Lower School, have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year. This is the 3rd year running we have achieved this award.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
