Termly primary school health clinics are offered as part of the 519 Healthy Child Programme and aim to:
Provide accessible, school-based appointments for parents/carers
Offer early intervention, advice, and signposting
Support childrens health, wellbeing, and development
Strengthen partnership working between schools, families, and the School Nursing Service
During each clinic, families can access:
Health advice and guidance
Early intervention support
Signposting or referrals to other relevant services
The clinics particularly benefit children with emerging or ongoing health needsespecially those that may be affecting their school experience. Early intervention at these clinics can support families and schools in managing conditions effectively and positively contribute to childrens overall attendance, engagement and attainment.
